Ocracoke!!! CHALLAH!!!

Every year the Glee's and the Southern Starkeys go to Ocracoke. We leave the children at home and have a "grown ups" vacation. By a "grown ups" vacation, I mean we get to sleep in and watch however much television we want. We can read a book without being disrupted or watch a rated R movie. That kind of grown up vacation. Not the clubbing, dancing all night grown up vacation. Who has the energy for that?

Honestly, when we first started to go to Ocracoke 5 years ago, I didn't really like it. I never actually liked going to the beach. I used to live in Virginia Beach and never went to the actual beach. It's so hot and there is way too much sand. I would get skin poisoning and be miserable the whole time. THEN our friends bought a tent like thing. Literally the tent was what changed my opinion from hating the beach to loving it. I get to sit in the shade where it's not so effing hot and read by book all day. It's freaking awesome. That and the fact that we have constant internet access. I am not the "let's go unplugged" type of person. No thanks.

As couples, we travel very well together. We want to do the same things. We are NEVER too rushed to do anything. We don't have a set agenda and we like to save money by eating at home. It's a good match. It would make for a miserable vacation if any one of us was a "GO GO GO" type of person. We take naps when we want, go to the beach when we want. We all HIGHLY value access to constant internet. It's just fantastic.

"Hey Mark, think deep thoughts."

"YEAH OCRACOKE!!"

Both our rooms and the living room open up to the pool.
The boys were very happy with that.

Our first night there we decided to order Thai food.
Mark ordered HOT HOT HOT.
It was anus raping hot. No joke.
Medium was too hot.

Do you see tears?

I ordered medium and I still needed milk.

"SHAG NIGHT" YEAH BABY!!!
Oreos and wine. Those go well together, right?

Quadruple stuffed!

These dogs are the sole reason I want to rent here every year.

This is Hazard. He doesn't move. Literally.
